I have different university trainings. I got a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) in 1978. Over the following three years, I got different jobs as research assistant at the university and a job as a quality control and production chemist for a company specialized in soaps, detergents, and floor waxes. Thereafter, I was employed by an international company for 21 years where I hold various positions going from chemist to technical manager. Through these different positions, I worked in all aspects of a chemist job: technical services to customers, quality control, new product development, production supervisor for two chemical plants, process improvement, process audits, health and safety, training,...
While working for this firm, I took seven courses of a master degree in pulp and paper further to publishing a dozen technical and scientific articles in the area of chemicals supplies to the pulp and paper industry.
